The Marshall-Harrison County Literacy Council

Picture
_
The Marshall-Harrison County Literacy Council was formed in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens who recognized the need for an adult education program. Adult basic education was offered first, followed by programs for English as a Second Language and pre-GED instruction.

The center now serves more than 150 students annually. Students meet one-on-one with trained volunteer tutors twice a week. All instruction and materials are provided free of charge.
